Ukuta Experiential Design
User Experience and Retail Strategy
Overview:
Ukuta is a new service specializing in print on demand wall art. Partnering with Hewlett-Packard and HGTV's Good Bones, Ukuta utilizes easy to install wall vinyl, wallpaper and canvases. Imagine your photos, artwork and creativity captured on a mural scaling your whole home, office, studio, or facility walls.
Target:
The challenge for this project was to create an environment where the user felt in control of the creative process of developing and designing their own wall art. The experience needed to be executed in a seamless fashion from start to finish. The ultimate goal was to allow customers to feel comfortable unleashing their full creative potential while receiving assistance from on site product specialists. In addition, exceeding expectations with a same day turnaround.
Solution:
The final solution to this challenge was a brick and mortar that allowed users to be fully immersed and surrounded by wall murals and canvases. Utilizing boutique culture with an enhanced sense of a creative space, this solution allowed for more possibilities, opportunities, and outcomes for users. The storefront engages the customers through multiple sensory levels in order to imprint a positive, memorable experience of the brand. Displayed solution samples allow users a chance to “try before you buy” and encourages interaction and exploration of the installation process for all materials. A full kitchen / bar greets guests with an at home welcoming atmosphere. An open seating concept allows customers to feel more casual and open during the tailored experience. This experiential solution allows users to reach their goals in the most pleasant and seamless way possible.
